Head Teacher’s Office

Behind the school’s steering wheel is Mr Waiswa Ben Godfrey, a former Head Teacher of Busalamu S.S in Luuka District, and an Old Student of Walsh University in the United States.

He is a qualified professional teacher with a Masters Degree in Education Management and Administration, a Bachelors Degree in Education, and a Diploma of Secondary School Education.

He has been in the Education service for over twenty six years and has worked in over eight (8) schools. He therefore has a good working experience.

The Head Teacher is deputized by five (5) officials, two (2) of whom are in-charge of Administration and the remaining three (3) in charge of Academics. The Deputy Head Teacher incharge of Administration are Mr. Muwayi Abdul and Ms Tikyamulala Christine, while those in charge of Academics are :

  • At Iganga High School

  1. Increased the Enrollment from 1100 to 2765 in four years.
  2. Improved on the grades at both U.A.C.E and U.C.E.
  3. Transformed the school into a disciplined institution.
  4. Increased on the staffing of the school from 43 teachers to 102 teachers.
  5. Began the construction of a Multi-purpose 18-class room block
  6. Began the construction of a 4- storeyed girls’ dormitory and  completed the multi-purpose building of the library, main Hall and computer laboratory.
  7. Renovated the existing structures.
  8. Established a hostel that has grown to 1000 students
  9. Acquired more vehicles for the school.
  10. Improved on the teachers’ greatly.
  11. Construction of two boys’ dormitory structures.
  12. strengthened  school links with the international community e.g Teachers and students have traveled to Europe for exchange programmes.

  • At Busalamu S.S
    • Established a hostel for Busalamu Secondary School for the first time in the history of the school.
    • Increased the enrollment from 200 to 500 in two years.
    • Established A’ Level for the school.
    • Improved on the grades at U.C.E.
    • Transformed the school into a disciplined institution.
    • Increased on the staffing of the school.
    • Began the construction of a library and classroom blocks.
  • At Budini S.S
    • Improved on grades at Uganda Certificate of Education and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education results.
    • Increased on the enrollment of students from 900 to 1600.
    • Improved on the discipline of students and teachers.
    • Expanded on the hostel.
    • Acquired more vehicles for the school.
  • Other Schools
    • Discipline improved in all schools where he served.
    • Academic performance and general transformation occurred.
    • As subject teacher and Head of Department, he improved on the passing of Economics and was rewarded by a trip to UK in 2003.
